Hello and welcome!

My name is Anne Goodall, I am Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Wollongong, Australia, I specialise in working with issues around eating and anxiety.  I am also the author of the Intuitive Weight-loss program.  A program that I have personally developed after working with hundreds and hundreds of people over many years, people who have spent years of their lives struggling with their relationship with food and with their body.

So, today I would like you to take a moment and ask yourself the following questions!

How many times have you gone on a diet?

How many times have you promised yourself that you will be ‘good today’? How many times have you broken your promise and then just ate anything in sight for the rest of the day or maybe even the following days?

If that’s you.  If you have answered ‘yes’ to most of the above questions let me share with you what mind program you are running and why it needs to be changed at the subconscious level if you want to change your body weight permanently.

The mind program you are running is called ‘All or Nothing’ thinking – sometimes referred to as dichotomous thinking. This means that when you do something you are either ‘all on or all off’.  This mindset can be useful for studying for an important exam or moving a car from a trapped body.  But it’s not useful for creating and maintaining your ideal body weight, for a sustained period.

Why is it not useful when it comes to eating?

The reason it’s not useful for eating is that it’s not the calories you are going to gain from one slip up that are going to shape your body – it’s all the calories you are going to consume because you have gone from restriction to ‘what the hell’, and ate everything in clear sight. It’s never one row of chocolate that will ruin your body but rather all the eating you do after breaking your promise to yourself.

So, what can you do about it?  Is it possible to change this? The answer is yes, but it’s not possible in my opinion to simply tell yourself consciously that you need to change – the change needs to occur at your deeper unconscious level.

In hypnosis, I can change this way of thinking. Firstly, I can work with you to reduce your cravings, but let’s be honest there will be the odd time when you will really want a few squares of chocolate. What if through the power of hypnosis and reprogramming your subconscious mind, you could program yourself to have a little and then stop.
